I do not. I would pick KG and Ray over Kobe. KG works hard on offense and defense, practices hard and takes time out to help any teammate that is willing to learn.

Almost all good players work their tails off. You just don't get to see it.

I agree that is why I put KG over the top because of the extra work he puts in to help other players and to call the defense for the Cs

Eff Kobe.  And eff the Lakers.

I HATE Kobe more than any player in the league and the only players I've hated more are Mushmouth Moses Malone and Isiah "I Can't Spell My Own Name" Thomas.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
The ones who celebrate the most after winning are always the hardest workers.

I don't see how the work off the court so I can't say,

Kobe is one of the toughest players in the game today. He's more like the guys from the 80's in that he plays when he's hurt.

A ton of guys play hurt.  They just make a big deal about it when Kobe does it because he's Kobe.

He's full-blown Hollywood. He hams up most of his "injuries."

I'm sure he works harder than most, but I bet there are several that work harder.

Doc is just brushing up on his analyst skills, making sure he's still got it.

I hate Kobe with a passion. And I think he raped that girl and is scum and the people who like him need their heads examined.

But you tell me how many guys get their noses taken off in an All Star Game and stay in playing? I didn't say Kobe is the only guy who still gives it 100% when hurt. I said he's one of the only these days.

I wonder why the locals here get furious when fans from outside Boston laugh at us for the wheelchair incident...

Good point. I don't think Kobe hams up his injures.

I would poke fun at another player for that too. Pierce still gets flack for that. I'm sure Pierce himself didn't call for a chair, the medical staff did.

It's easy to laugh about it now, but it obviously wasn't funny as it happened.

But Pierce plays hurt too, and doesn't need to grimace his way through entire nationally televised games and rub/shake the injured body part whenever there is a break in action, like I've seen Kobe do.

Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Rajon Rondo routinely play hurt.  Avery Bradley fought through a dislocated elbow as hard as he could.  I know that Chris Paul was fairly banged up during last year's playoffs as was Dwayne Wade.  There are countless others.  NBA players play hurt all the time.

I'm not making a negative comment about Kobe, and I have no idea whether he raped that girl in Colorado.  I'm just saying that he gets more adulation for being a warrior and playing through injury than others because of his status as a superstar.  That's just how it is.  I'm not making any judgment.

I've seen Paul do that before many times. I saw MJ do it ALL THE TIME. They all do it.

All players do it. They do it when they twist/pull something. For a few minutes

Kobe does it with week/month old injuries (like his pinky).

Once I saw Kobe kiss his wife and kids at halftime in the tunnel during a national game (Christmas?), I could never take him seriously. The guy is an actor. He knows when the camera is on him.

Not taking anything away from his talent, just can't stand his personality, like most.
