  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
If he wasn't a ever a Laker I'd have no reason to dislike him. I probably wouldn't have minded his cocky/arrogant attitude if he was a Celtic. It is what it is though...

Kobe and Pierce on the same team would've been completely sick.

Why was he there?  Couldn't be actual training camp - pre-draft workout?

1996 draft workout i think

We actually drafted someone not named Kobe Bryant? I hope that was the Pierce year, Kobe ahead of Ron Mercer or Chauncey any day!

How many rings do you guys think we woulda captured with Kobe? Most likely we wouldn't have gotten Pierce things woulda changed. But Duncan lottery balls may have went in our favor though. Darn!

That is one of the most evil envious thoughts I've ever seen here

In an alternate universe, the Hornets drafted Kobe and traded him to the Celtics for Dino Radja and Greg Minor. Pitno after the first 3 minutes of training camp deemed Kobe unworthy and  useless; forcing Kobe to sign with Virtus Bologna. Kobe, angred that the team was infact not owned by Oscar Meyer and that his lil' cousin Dez lied to him about free bologna sandwiches, fell into a state of depression and lost passion for the game of basketball.

What happened to Radja and Greg Minor?  I care about them

Greg Minor, under pressure from the city of Charlotte and without Kobe Bryant in the NBA to stop him entered and won the 1997 dunk contest. He did a two handed tomohawk from the 3 point line, widely believed to be the greatest dunk of all time.

Dino Radja, appauled by smoking bans in Charlotte, successfully lobbied the city of Charlotte to let him smoke where ever he chose. On December 25, 1996, Dino Raja became the first player to win a jump ball with a lit cigarette in his mouth. He retired from the game of basketball in 1997 and signed a life-time contract to be the official Marlboro-Man.

Kobe wasn't very good his rookie year - I don't think our record would've been significantly different with him there instead of Toine.

I remember them showing him working out for us on channel 5 news. I think he was touching the top of the square on the backboard or something.

Lol you guys are funny. You wouldn't want a top-10 all time player.

I would take Pierce or Rondo to play with Kobe any day.
