If Toronto are looking to clear enough cap room to re-sign Biyombo and DeRozan could the Nets put something together for Terrance Ross and #9?

I think #27 is a much more reasonable target than #9.

Ah yes I forgot they had that one too. More achievable for the Nets but I guess it depends on what salary Toronto need to clear. The #9 pick is an extra few million over #27 right?

Brooklyn probably doesn't have enough to get the deal done though

Top 10 picks don't get given away for salary clearing purposes except from the dumbest teams.  That pick will stay with Toronto unless they're picking up significant talent for it.

Thaddeus Young for 16?

Rather do Thad Young for 23

For a 15ppg and 9.0rpg game?  Come on get serious.  The #23 pick is not nearly enough.....

I was shocked to see that Thad has an actual positive Defensive +/- this past year. On a team that terrible, he posts a +0.6; that's insanity. On hustle points alone, he's worth the 16th pick. I will take defensive versatility all day, and the above average points & rebounds are an icing on the cake.
I mean really, is he really worse than Jared Sullinger's production?

He's a stats on a bad team guy. So those numbers are super inflated. He's a slightly above average NBA player, who's contract doesn't look as good when you consider he has a 15% trade kicker.

#16 for their 2019 first round pick, the right to switch in 2020 and the 2021 first. Okay, I'll throw in AJ to make the contracts work.

The Nets getting worse is great for us. Hopefully they trade away Lopez and Young for picks and then end up the worst team in the league.

You mean ... solidify themselves as the worst team in the league.  Philly and LA will surely pass them this year.

Yeah and LA and Philly will be better with Free agent X and ingram/Simmons

Nets have no shot at being good for a while

Knicks wants picks. Ok 31 and 35 for Porzingis! Need a sweetener. Young and Hunter. Boom done!

I was thinking more Thaddeus for 31 and 35 myself. Not a huge fan of him but team has too many picks. Still rather see how FA goes before adding him.

Maybe we could send a package of current and future picks to Brooklyn for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Something like 16 and a second rounder or two, plus a future pick (not related to the previous Bos/Nets trade).  Too much?  Not enough?  RHJ has shown he can play D in the NBA at a high level, and would be my target if we talked trade with Brooklyn.

Pick and young player for RHJ?

Nets can afford to absorb a bad contract. Wonder if the Pelicans would trade their #6 pick + Omer Asik's albatross contract for RHJ + Thad Young. Asik is the primary thing standing between the Pelicans and a big free agency play in 2017.

Weird how neither of these teams have picks nor do they have any players I want (the lone exception being Porzingis, who is certainly untouchable).

I'd certainly consider giving NY #3 and the BRK '18 pick for Porzingas

You really don't want to give up the 2018 pick, Deandre Ayton https://youtu.be/EsjhnAA385k he is the best franchise star since Anthony Davis.
