How long before the first Rondo for D Will trade rumor?
Not very, but it doesn't matter I don't see Danny trading Rondo without Deron saying he'll extend here. That isn't happening and he'll opt out and head to Dallas.

I say that Van Gundy will be axe at the end of the year. Dwight Howard will be running that team. Coaches doesnt have a chance in the NBA no more
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
That would give everyone enough time to get ready for Howard 2013 and at the same time help Howards image. It would be a real stand up move by Howard. Risky though nothings promised tomorrow and injuries can happen whenever. New Jersey would be in huge trouble though I don't see Williams waiting another year.

He was willing to do it with CP3.

This whole situation is just weird.

Leads me to believe that Dwight Howard does have some loyalty to the Magic as an organization. Interesting.

I agree, it's a pretty classy move if true.

Howard is basically giving the Magic another year to get their act together.

No one, but the Magic can be blamed if he leaves in 2013.

Williams has talked extensively about how he'd like to play in Texas at some point in his NBA career, and the Mavs will have room for him....

Yeah, but for an entire year. This will be for 3 months, tops.

The Magic naturally are going to ask for this in writing, I wonder if they'll get such a concrete assurance.

Woj isn't buying it yet. And if Woj isn't buying it yet, I'm not buying it yet.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏ @WojYahooNBA

Three Magic players tell Y! Sports (2 to @SpearsNBAYahoo) and one to me that Dwight Howard did not tell them he was opting in for next year.

That and one of the great benefits of adding CP3 was making the team a more attractive destination for Dwight Howard.  No longer applies if Howard is truly opting in.

Said one Magic player on Howard meeting: "Next year was not even mentioned in meeting...He told us he was "all-in" for this season."

He had to sign an ETO waiver, and the document is apparently with the team in San Antonio.

Wojo is reporting that the three Magic players he's spoken to deny that Dwight mentioned anything to them about opting in.

Fun day, eh? I think Monta Ellis got traded for Andrew Bogut yesterday, but haven't heard anything about it, LOL.

So yeah it sounds like Dwight can either sign the ETO waiver or get traded it seems based on the Magic's current public stance.

Sounds like there isn't a lot of trust there.

Certainly seems like there's a different psyche between the two players too. I could've seen CP3 falling in love with being a Celtic, can't say the same for D12.
