yup

Horford play trailed off last season

yet 76ers paid him as much money as he signed with the Celts 3 years ago

Horford has maybe one more decent season under his belt, but slowly will start looking like Haslem when he turned into a role player

Tatum in a few seasons will run circles around AL.  No hard feelings towards Al, but 76ers keep making poor decisions

In two years, Horford's might look bloated, but not the worst.

The worst will be considered Khris Middleton -- by far.

It's never a good sign that a player adds 10-20 pounds right after they sign a big contract. He looks like he is playing at about 240 right now for team USA.

I would not be surprised if he started to get nagging injuries. He looks stiff and top-heavy.

That Rozier contract is still quite ridiculous.

He continues the growing list of players who looked very good under Stevens and got overpaid when they hit free agency.

Not sure it will be the worst contract, but I agree that Middleton doesn't look like he's in great shape, either in terms of the body of the way he's been moving.

Except Rozier forgot to look good this past season.  Which makes his contract even more ridiculous.

Rozier looked fine as a starter, awful as a back-up (and don't misunderstand fine is not great or anything and he was absolutely overpaid).  Pretty much his m.o. his entire tenure in Boston.  Curious to see what he does as a full time starter.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I suspect with that thin Charlotte roster Rozier will post impressive numbers as a starter but that team will lose a lot of games.  Would not be surprised to see him average 22 pts, 8 rebs, 6 assts with less than 2 TOs a game.   the numbers will impress anyone who doesn't actually watch him play.  the usual know-nothing talking heads will question Danny's competence in letting a player of Rozier's "caliber" go in exchange for a much more expensive Kemba who's not posting those kinds of stats.

I can't see Rozier averaging that many points without other shot creators getting him open threes.

I see it as more of a result of Rozier keeping the ball to himself more than someone setting him up for shots.   someone on that team has to score and I don't doubt Rozier will see himself as the primary scoring option on that team.  seriously, who else will score?  Monk will take a volume of shots.  Bridges might provide some offense.  the rest of the team is made up of unknowns, over-the-hills and non-scorers.

i could see Rozier putting up a month of those stats and then falling off a cliff. Everyone will lose there minds about him because of one month.

possibly.  if he's the 'star' of that team, he'll be the opposition's defensive focus and that would cut his numbers.  I still think he gets some gaudy stats by the end of the year if for no other reason than volume shooting and having the ball most of the time.
