I was very skeptical about this game in Orlando without the captain, but the C's played an amazing defensive game. They played a tough frist quarter and then put on a defensive show in the second holding Orlando to just 8 pts! The second half was back and forth with Orlando making several runs and using the charity stripe to get their offense going.

In the end the C's held on after some big shots by Ray Allen and some great ball movement to get dunks for Perk/Sheed and free throws for KG.

2 Rondo
2 Ray
1 KG
1 Tony Allen

Rondo played well after the first quarter, but had way to many turn overs. He and Ray played way too many minutes for any other game, but this was different. National TV, on the road, and to show the Magic that we're still number one in the conference.

Rondo 3 - I'm gonna be sad if he's not in the All-Star game, even it means off the bench. Ridunkulous.

Ray Allen 2 - Picked up in the 2nd half when needed. And, he hit what to me was the dagger.

Tony Allen 1 - It's one game he's started, we know. But he gave the C's some much needed play on both ends. Love him or hate him, he stepped up in a big way today.

2 for Rondo - aggressive all night, attacked the rim, took good decisions and was excellent.

2 for Ray - struggled in the first half but was huge in the second with big shots. He basically won the game in the last minute too with his clutch shot and clutch free throws.

1 for Sheed - good offensively, not rushing anything or attempting ill-advised treys. Was a monster on board and defended very well.

1 for Perk - good offensively but a little bit shy (due to foul trouble). Perk stayed mentally in the game even though he was in foul trouble. He did a great job defensively on Howard but not only (got huge blocks). Rebounded well too.

2 for Rondo....the offensive rebound/assist tap to Sheed was a BEAUTY

2 for Ray...Clutch shots and FTs as usualy...

2 for Tony...I am the first one to say I am on Tony Allen a lot...but he played the type of game we needed today...if they can get that effort each game from him he is worth keeping

3 RR, 2 Rayray, 1 TA.

TA with a turnover. *A* turnover. Single one. Tony. Allen. One turnover. 1. TA. One.

Now go back and read that line again.

I guess TA is still capable of flashes once in a while, but...jeez, on a couple of shots he must have been cross-eyed or something.  Really.  A 16 footer...worse than that guy at the Y.

But he was solid enough for Doc to keep him in most of the stretch...I thought Scal would come in for all of the last 2 minutes, since we were up by a few and needed to play mistake free.  Truly surprised there, so TA gets game MVP honors from me.

Those bad misses might be momentum changing turnovers next game, but today, he's MVP.

I wanted to give the majority of my points to RR Ray, but I think the efforts of TA, KG, Sheed and Perk deserve praise.

2 for TA - Overall solid game..came up big when we needed him to.

1 for Perk...defended Dwight really well..hopefully All-Star Voters took note...

1 For Ray Ray - Efficient game and timely baskets.

1 for Rondo - Nearly a Triple Double and played well.

1 for Sheed - Big game off the bench. Loved the dunks down low. I think those were the most demoralizing to ORL.

TA had the overall best game, IMO. Yes he had an airball or two, but when he did his thing (slashing to basket), he was very productive.

This game more than makes up for last year's loss in LA. And LA lost today? That's great ;D

Two for Rondo, two for Ray, and one each for TA and Sheed ... great job by the supporting cast, led by Rondo ... who did a bit of everything. Nice win without Cappy.

3 for Rondo (game mvp, stepped up rebounding, turned it on in second half, hit a clutch jumper and a very clutch steal/assist to TA)

1 for TA (Great game filling in for pierce. He plays like this...)

1 for Ray (Ice Cold free throws, jumper in Redick's face)

1 for Perk (Kept Dwight out of the offensive paint. Did his dirty job. Howard got the rebounds, but shooting was terrible)

BTW I'd just like to add that my GF was very disappointed that Rasheed didn't get some more love for his defense.
