Kyrie just said they’re resigned to the 4th or 5th seed because it’s so late in the season but he thinks if they play to their best there’s nobody in the EC who can beat them. The challenge is playing at that level consistently.

why does he keep saying that?

He was asked the question by Gary Washburn I think.

On a lighter note, if you fast forward to the 4:07 mark of Kyrie's post-game interview, a reporter asks him a question that he didn't think very highly of. The reporter is Marc James of NESN and WEEI. Pretty funny. There's also a REALLY hot girl standing right next to him.

well I missed this game, but I read all 40+ pages of the game thread.  (yes I am an idiot).

At this point from what I have seen lately and what people are saying in the game threads, both Brown and Hayward have been solid.  I just wonder if at some point brad has to accept that he needs to give his best players the most pt and start Brown and Hayward.  If Hayward is still not 100% physically, well he is what he is.  But even though Morris was killing it early in the season, and Smart helped right the ship, maybe both need to come off the bench now.

Another thought is that at some point you gotta play Timelord more to get him the experience he needs.  He isn't good on Def right now, but he needs reps, real game reps.  If as Kyrie said, they have already accepted that they won't have any home court advantage in the playoffs, then get Williams some more PT so he can make progress as a defender.  If he can get 12-15 min a game until the playoffs maybe he can learn enough to not be a complete revolving door on D and give us a dimension that we have really been needing.

If playing Timelord more costs us a couple games does it really matter?  If we are 5th at 9 games out or 5th at 12 games out, if we are still the 5 seed?  Or does it even matter if we fall to 6 and get Indiana as a matchup?
We all know Williams isn't good on d right now, but he needs PT.  He has length, a nose for the ball, can get us easy buckets.

Yeah, this season really can't get any worse. They'll be in the playoffs, but they may not get out of the first round.
