Rozier is different as a starter. I really dont want to give him away for nothing.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I am just beginning to think that Hayward just going to take two years to recover

And this has been a poor end to the first quarter. That unit on the floor just has no offense to it whatsoever

YEH I THINK THIS YEAR IS A WASH for him. we wont get anything out of him. hopefully next year

Unfortunately this is like the Spurs game where we seemingly started off great, but ultimately it didn't amount to much and the game is still close and there for the taking  :(

We’re home though!

1. You will get the best from Rozier is he starts

2. Is Hayward afraid to shoot? He has been open several times and passed up shots or not even called for it.

Well, if he shot and missed you'd probably be ripping him for that too  :P

I want to see him be aggressive. He’s not going to be himself again looking like Ben Simmons.

I know, but lets be honest, it seems like whatever this guy does nowadays he always gets ripped by people on here for something (being timid, not looking focused, not shooting enough, shooting too much, etc.). We all can see it here. I'm staying optimistic and hoping Hayward can figure it out even if it's as a solid bench role for this season.

I have never ripped him for shooting to much because he just doesn't shoot. If they are going to do anything they have to get more out of him. He just can't be out there not shooting and being a point guard.

We are running the risk of him being a net negative

Oh I didn't intend that to you alone lol, I'm just talking about the forum in general (I mean there are threads all over the place about it too). All we can do at this point is be patient with Hayward and hope he can simply help us this season off the bench. It helps that Morris has done well this season to sort of alleviate the missing part of Hayward's impact.

We all know the frustration of watching a good team go through a dry spell where they should be killing a team, but they can't get it together.

Except usually for a team that is genuinely good, it happens for maybe 5 minutes, every game or two.

With these guys it's like 38 minutes of that and 10 minutes of decent basketball, almost every **** game. It's the most maddening thing I've ever seen. I'd rather watch an untalented team that at least plays up to its ability.

There's got to be something with Brad having Hayward be more of a playmaker off the bench right now as much as he's passing up looks, though I don't see why he'd be doing that. You'd think that you'd want him getting as many reps and shots as possible to get him back up to speed.

That or he's just not confident in shooting and is gunshy, which would be bad.

I wish we didn't have to either, but it will probably be better for him as a player and his development.
