I like the deal for both teams, although if LA really thinks George will come as a free agent they could wait and get him for nothing.

That works great for Lakers. OKC should look for a better deal though.

Why on earth would okc want to add contracts? The whole point of the Paul george deal was that he was an expiring. That way if George leaves they can target other free agents

They aren't targeting players like clarkson or randle that's for sure

they have no cap space so it doesn't matter anyway

Randle and Clarkson don’t really help OKC. They’re not running a charity.

yeah, and I think they could probably get more (or at least better fits) from some other team.

OKC is playing much better ball compared to earlier in the season, so I'm not sure they'd look to break up their big 3.  If they did, the obvious George to the Lakers rumors make looking at a deal between the two an easy gloss over.  These 2 names stuck out to me too, in part because the Lakers would likely have to move both to free up the money they need to sign George.  Admittedly I haven't looked at their cap situation all that closely, but to get James and George, they'd clearly need every dollar possible.  These 2 guys are at least talented, but I think OKC might seek more elsewhere.  However, what if the Lakers offered up Kuzma?   He's looked pretty good and might be the piece that makes OKC consider it.
