Great time of year with playoff hockey and hoops.

Hockey's just a different animal come playoff time.  So fun to watch.

Guess here's my 1st round predictions.

West- Sharks, Red Wings, Canucks, Blackhawks

East- Capitals, Pens, Bruins, Devils

I'm looking forward to the Capitals vs Penguins matchup in the second round. Here's hoping for vengeance :)

I'd love to see Ovechkin & the Caps take down Crosby.

Don't have high expectations for the B's so anything is gravy there but I am pulling real hard for the Blackhawks.  Biggest concern there is the goaltending.  I've really taken a following to Keith & Toews.

  • Thank you Eddie!
The Stanley Cup playoffs is the sport of kings, but I'm afraid this is the monumental game to end all monumental games...

How will the Hawks beat the Hawks on the road?  Discuss.

Nice.

I'm stuck watching Montreal/Washington out here.

Boston lost 2-1 but outshot Buffalo 39 to 32. That Buffalo goalie is an Olympian. It is tough to just advance one series when you can't score.

Big game this afternoon for the B's.  Almost imperative they can get a split here before heading back to Boston.

Nice appetizer before tonight's Celtics game.

Well, certainly not the start I was hoping for.

2-0 Sabres still in the 1st.

Yeah we need another second period like the one on Thursday.  Actually a better one.

Just turned the game on, with the B's on the powerplay, and the first thing I see is Wideman try to make a drop pass at the blue line...except there was no one behind him except a Sabre (who luckily mishandled the puck, rather than taking advantage of the breakaway).  This guy is the Bruins version of Tony Allen.  He does just enough to not get completely benched, but seems to do everything he can to blow the game when he is out there.
