Big bill goes nice pick I guess that means I am next on the clock.. nobody is going to like my pick...  :'(

Hey, this is about building the best and strongest team, not the most "popular" ... much as we love to hate Kobe, there are few people who can objectively say that he isn't one of the best of all time. I support the pick. (TP)

You could argue that his "shooting habits" would negatively effect a team filled with other great scorers though.

But would he have developed the same shooting habits on a team rich in other scorers? I doubt it ... not under Phil Jackson.

The Miami Heat Select Wilt Chamberlain.

Arguably the most physically dominant player of all-time.  He's one of the guys I had head and shoulders over Kobe.
Really how can you beat the year he AVERAGED 50 and 30!!

I dunno, on a team built out of superstars do you really want a guy that is so consumed about his stats?  Thats why I was really considering Russell over Shaq, thats a guy thats all about team and would mesh well with some of the other best players ever.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Interesting start to the draft.  Just catching up now.

I think Russell & Wilt dropped farther than I thought they would.  Concurrently, Bird, Shaq, and Kobe went higher than I would've had them.

Exactly people can say well Kobe is a ball hog. Yeah he can be but dont discount the 5 rings on his hand either on top of being a great player. And yes Kobe had shaq for 3 of those but that shows he can play with great players.

I don't know...  Some guys are just chuckers / ball hogs by their nature.  I don't know if Kobe "plays well with others" enough to get the most out of his teammates.  He needs to dominate the ball, and with up to 12 other Hall of Famers, I wonder.

Still, we're picking nits, really.  Like I said earlier, it's difficult to have a truly bad pick in this draft.  Rather, it's arguing over preferences.

Yes! I'm guaranteed one of my top 7 all-time players!!

Even though Hakeem's not on that list I was still really hoping he'd fall to 10.

Ah but the 66/67 Wilt was a team player, who won the MVP, the championship, played great D and still put up 24ppg, 8apg, 24rpg.

I'm shocked Magic fell to 8th.  The guy could literally play 5 positions.  In his prime, I never saw a player better (although Bird and MJ are basically tied).

Like me picking a center over Magic Johnson.
