Please stay on top of your pick times. Don't pick before you're up, and try not to pick late.

Pretty happy with my two picks today.  Got a great young passing PG (9.5 apg) who is a solid outside shooter (43% from three) in Kendall Marshall and a cagey veteran scorer (and underrated defender) in Vince Carter.

Team is shaping up pretty well

Starters - Isaiah Thomas, Eric Gordon, Jimmy Butler, Dirk Nowitzki, Demarcus Cousins
Bench - Kendall Marshall, Michael Carter-Williams, Vince Carter, Miles Plumlee, Nerlens Noel

Looking for a 3 and a 4 from my two picks tomorrow, with some guys I think should be on the board.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

OJ Mayo is a really nice pickup this late in the draft.

Thank you!

Mayo with the Bucks is a disaster. I think it's proven that he can never be the number 1 option. But if you put him in a system where he's not the focal point of the offense, a la Dallas, he will do some damage.

I fully agree with this line of reasoning. To be honest, I think this round has featured possibly the wisest drafting we have seen so far in the Pick 2. Everybody is stepping up.

New Orleans with pick 8.3 selects Brandon Bass

I like that pick. That is a nice pick.

Darn - I was hoping Bass or J.Dudley would be there by my next pick.

Chalmers and Bass are really good pickups for New Orleans.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Im not trying to be a jerk here, I just want to put that on recrord.

I appreciate what The Commish has done, running a very smooth draft. Due to work circumstance I lost the ability to pick on time and leave a list. That one is on me.

With that in mind, thanks for being great AB, but id appreciate if I just get skipped instead of being "auto picked". Again, not trying to be a jerk, but id rather lose the advantage of picking early than getting a player I dont really think will help my team.

I apologize in advance for any inconvinience this post gets. Im not sure if its in the rules that we get auto picked. If it is, then its an honest mistake, and please disregard this statement all together.

Again, missing my pick and not being able to send a list is entirely my fault. But id reeally rather just take the consequence of being skipped than getting auto picked. I dont know if im speaking for the rest but thats just me.

With that in mind, thanks AB_Celtic for running a great draft.

I agree with Yoki. In previous years, auto-pick was only used in the earlier rounds, at this point, I don't think it's necessary. Or at least have the patience to wait it out a round before making auto-picks.

Alright, I'll admit a mistake on my part. I shouldn't have made some auto picks in those cases.

However, we can't allow people to re-pick. That might have changed subsequent people's picks. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but those auto-picks are the guys you get. If you have any further issues or want more clarification, feel free to PM me.

Apologies to those who didn't get their guy. No more auto-picks.

I imagine the best way to go about this for each individual to let AB_Celtic know what he should do in the unfortunate event of missing a pick. Should he autopick? If so, how long after your draft time elapses? After X minutes or Y draft choices?
I think this will leave everyone happier moving forward.

I for one would like to be autopicked if I miss my pick by an hour.

agreed on auto-pick.  would rather have that person skipped than have someone assigned to them.  ensures either active participation or that lists are submitted in advance to get who they want.

Personally, I've had to rely on AB making a lot of my picks due to last minute changes to my schedule but he's been more than willing to help out in those regards.  being available for your picks or missing out has long been an understanding when playing this game.  it offered a big advantage to those who would wait for the preceding person to miss their time and then snatch up the player they wanted as soon as they were on the clock.
