What are people's thoughts on going big for spot minutes?

PG: Stephenson
SG: George
SF: Young
PF: Garnett
C: Hibbert
I think they struggle to get the ball into the half court.  Once there it is probably ok, but that will be a struggle.  I also think you are left open to a lot of the quicker lineups defensively.  Now a few minutes here and there you might have something, but it would be tough to roll that lineup for any extended period of time.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Holiday gets the defensive assignments against tall SG's or elite PG's.

This is an exciting team. Dragic is probably one of my favorite players in the league and if Jrue can get back to his all-star form, this is a sure fire playoff team.

Thoughts on Houston?
PG: Eric Bledsoe
SG: James Harden
SF: Paul Pierce
PF: David Lee
 C: Dwight Howard
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Thought for a thought eh?

Houston is STAR STUDDED. There's no shortage in points here.

I worry defensively about Harden, Pierce and Lee though. Bledsoe can hold his own against opposing PG. But Dwight can only cover for someone so much. Covering from three guys might be tough.

Then again, it might be even tougher to outscore this team.

Overall, this is probably my second favorite team. Better than the real life Rockets by a noticeable margin.

It's funny though that you took Lee earlier than I thought you should have, instead of a SF, but then was able to draft a solid SF the next round (proving me wrong).  But then you took the wrong SF.  There were a few better options.  This team would look much better with Ariza there.

Um, need a PG.  Bring Young in off the bench.

We hate it because you didnt trade him to us.

I'm on the fence on this team. On paper it looks like it'll be a tough team to beat. But Rose looks like he's having "recurring" knee issues and he's the only guy I see who can make plays for others. Well, Jamal can but doesnt normally do it.

Z-Bo will be solid in and out, and the defense is there. Korver is a very good team defender, he won't shut down anyone, but he knows his spots. Ariza and Asik can hold their own.

Of course you can still grab a PG in the next rounds, trade for one (wink, wink). It's a strong team. But it's as strong as Derrick Rose's ability to stay on the court. I think Noah couldve been a better fit, as he can play inside out with Randolph.

Without Rose, I think they are IRL Chicago but with a little less scoring. Will play tough, hard nosed D and will be tough to score against. But once Crawford and ZBo get's checked good, will have a tough time scoring either.

Ariza was taken before my pick. Was seriously considering trading up for him, but I think Pierce will be fine.  He's still a very reliable starter even at this stage in his career.

Ah yes, picked right before you.  I thought it was the other way around for some reason.  That sucks.

Pierce is still ok, but he's really fallen off.  Honestly, he's the 'weak link' in this lineup.  But at that point, it appears that was probably the best pick you could have made.

Not wild about it. I think KG and Hibbert would be useful together against bigger frontlines. But I think keeping Thad Young on the floor instead of a PG will hurt more than it will help. Make the offense too stagnant.

In a 20 team league if any team doesn't look better than their NBA equivalent, somebody goofed.

I think Houston's up there with Portland for the best team currently.

PF -    Terrence Jones
C   -    Andrew Bogut

Holiday has struggled at times this year when paired with Tyreke Evans, a player that considers himself a PG and should run the offense. Holiday and Dragic are both going to want the ball and that has worked well in Phoenix with Eric Bledsoe, but I am not sure how Holiday would handle it.

Really like Bogut's play this year and Jones has grown as a player to become a significant contributor as a 4th option, transition offense, offensive rebounding type player that compliments a defensive anchor very well.

Just not a fan of Gay. Inefficient volume "me" type player who's stats are more impressive than his play.

Overall I like this team.
