  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
San Antonio is going to take Nene.

The way good PF's are thinning, I really itched on taking him at 3.6

But with Bogut and him, I don't think I can defend the injuries of those two combined.

But of course, skill wise, you can never go wrong.

Yeah, the injury a real bummer. Not much point in adding an adding a guy who is out for the year to a soon to be 38 year old Tim Duncan.

I came pretty close to not taking Nene because of it but he is scheduled back in time for the playoffs so I figured it would be alright (well, hopefully!).

About time Ashton Kutcher gets picked. I'd be so much more excited about the pick if CHI kept Noah. Korver thrives with great passing bigs, and neither ZBo or Asik fit the bill.

Korver was the other guy I was thinking about with my pick this round.  Figured it was probably a bit too early to take a pure specialty player like him so I passed, but man can that guy shoot the rock.

Bledsoe/Harden and Lee/Howard are great complements. I still can't help but wonder how much better this team would look if HOU opted for one of the many defensive-minded glue SFs on the board. At this stage in his career, Pierce's defense is very inadequate for a contender, and what he brings to the table on offense is severely subdued when you already have the likes of the other 4 in the lineup. He's really just a glorified three-point shooter on this team.

EDIT: Just realized Pierce was taken after the likes of Green and Ariza. I thought it was the other way around. There were still better alternatives on the board though, IMO.

Pelicans happy with the first week of drafting.

3 possible future 1st team All-Defense players and a couple monster rebounders.

That's my type of team.

Huh, my third rates player this round is still available.  If anyone with one of the next few picks wants to talk trade, I'm willing to move some assets.

I don't see a better SF than Pierce on the board. Send me a message on who you think so I can get him next round.  ;)

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Starting with the Cs I was never gonna put a contender together.  But with

Rondo
Afflalo
G Green
Sullinger
Gortat

I'd love to watch this team play...offense.
