Rozier would quickly make Butler angry with his hotdog game.

The Charlotte Hornets are trading Terry Rozier to the Miami Heat for a 2027 first-round pick and Kyle Lowry, sources tell ESPN.

Not a bad trade for either side.

Well I guess we're gonna find out

I like the deal for Miami in the short term because Rozier is a much better player at this point but... I don't really get why they did it. Do they think this makes them a better contender? If not, then why give up future assets for him? Deals like this seem like they'll just lead to the team being stuck in mediocrity down the line, but with Riley and Spoelstra who knows
I'm bitter.

What does this mean for DRob? Miami made him untouchable but will this trade make him happy?

The Hornets have no immediate plans to work on a buyout with Lowry and are expected to see if they can work another trade for him before the February 8 deadline, sources tell ESPN.

The 2027 first-round pick Miami is sending to Charlotte for Terry Rozier is lottery protected, per source, and then becomes unprotected in 2028.

It's two seasons before his deal becomes partially guaranteed - and the pick is lottery protected for 2027, per the tweet above. I think that's fine, if Miami is really terrible in a couple of years they keep the pick.

Also I knew he was NBA-old but I didn't realise Lowry was already 37.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

I think this makes Miami better, but not considerably so. Feels like a lot of what we’ve seen from Rozier this year (and even last) is due to an expanded role with Charlotte being terrible and Melo being out for a good while.

His usage % over the past two years is around 27%, which I don’t think he’s coming close to in Miami.

Again, he’ll definitely help over Miami, but unless they go on another anomalous hot streak during the playoffs I just don’t see it for them.

As of right now Miami in the 6 seed means they would get the sixers round one, bucks round two and then the Celtics.

Heat having to play all top three seeds would kill them. They won’t get out of the first round

It does make Miami better. It'll be interesting to see Rozier coached by Spoelstra.

He'll be bought out after the trade deadline.

Well the good news about MIA trading for Rozier is that's one less first rounder they can offer in a trade for a superstar.

I wonder if they are looking to move Hero now, seems like a tough fit between those two guys.

I'm strangely happy for Terry Rozier, guy was great for the C's. I'm glad he'll get to play meaningful basketball again.
