I've been thinking about trying the official NBA game ball since I've been playing indoors a lot more often.  I currently use the TK1000 indoors, and the ZIO/Excel indoor and outdoors.  The main issue with the offical game ball (aside from the price tag) is the required break in time.  Reading online reviews from various sources it seems everyone hates it at the start, but can't use anything but if they have the patience to break it in.

Anyone here have experience with it?

I've had it for probably three years. We use it along with other balls to warm up but we never use it during games. I don't like it at all. Maybe it needs to be broken in but I prefer the Spalding TF1000 or Wilson Solution game ball.

It definitely needs to be broken in.  I just recently found out the NBA has a few month break in period for the balls used in actual games; they don't just pull a fresh one out of the box and jump it up.
