Gotta think that the Chicago is a much more dangerous team than the Sixers right now. I know we need home court against Orlando; but if they draw Philly they may have any easier time reaching the second round.

I was watching the Bulls-76ers game tonight and I think Chicago is slightly better than Philly, but It's hard to believe that any of them are going to give us any complications in the 1st round. Anyway, if I have to choose I would go against the 76ers.
Go Celtics!!

I think facing the Bulls would be a more exciting series so they're the team I'd like the C's to get.

The Sixers are the worse team and the easier matchup though.

i wanna play the Bulls so we can pay them back for the 90's

plus we know that we'll get good play out of Rondo... playing the first overall pick in the draft, who happens to be a PG.

Chicago

Philly is always tough for their athleticism, kind of like the Hawks last year.

As long as we get the #2 seed, I don't care.  And even then, it's not the end of the world.  Sure, I'd rather not play the Pistons, but it has more to do with me being sick of them, and hating to watch Rip Hamilton.  No matter who we play in the 1st round, we're gonna win (barring major injuries), so I'd rather face the Pistons with the #2 seed than the Sixers or Bulls with the #3 seed.

With Ginobli out I guess Rip would have to be close to the top of the list however he is not quite the faker that Ginobli is, so not in the same league in my view. Bulls lost Deng which is tough no matter whose side you are on; but may make them less of a problem.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
It depends on Thad Young's health.  If he's ready to go, and KG and/or Powe are healthy, I'd prefer the Bulls.

Yep. He's huge for them. Also, Deng is likely out for the season. Chicago's rotation is pretty solid even without Deng, though.

1. Rose/Hinrich
2. Gordon
3. Salmons
4. Tyrus
5. Noah/Brad Miller

That's not bad. Good mix of veterans/youth. If Thad Young is at 75%, I think I'd rather play Philly.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Bulls, because Rondo > Rose.

Salmons can't get lucky enough to win 4 in a seven game series.

Doc >>> Del Negro? I don't even know if that's right.

Pierce has finall figured out how to beat Deng.

The Bulls don't defend, atleast Philly pretends at times. :D

Sixers playoff games are always fun because of the historical rivalry between the teams, but I think they could potentially be a thorn in our side like ATL was. Plus, even with or without Deng the Bulls don't have anyone to cover Pierce, Salmons can't (even though I have liked him a lot, even when he was with the Sixers, he isn't a great defender) and with a stress fracture, Deng can't, either.

Then Chitown's frontline just doesn't really impress me, at all.

No doubt in my mind that I would rather have the Sixers than the Bulls!!! This is a no Brainer I think !!

Matter of fact, I would rather have the Heat, or even the Hawks rather than the Bulls!!!

The Sixers are the weakest in the whole Playoffs this year...

They are ahead of the Bulls and Pistons just because both those teams sucked at some point earlier this season...
BUT, they are better right now:

-Bulls with their new additions would have been fighting for HCA in the 1st round (4th or 5th seed)... (they did beat pretty easily the Magic, Cavs and C's recently...)

-Pistons are focusing on making a playoff damage by shocking a top seed or 2 now that AI is gone (they also beat Magic, Cavs & C's by some wide margins)

My order of preference for the first round is actually the inverse of the current ranking! If I could choose I would rather face in the first round :

1- Miami
(A 1-trick pony offense, just perfect for our defense to shine)

2- Philadelphia
(Athletic but atrocious in half court set with no real shooters)

3- Chicago
(extremely well balanced team but with no Playoff experience)

4- Detroit
(Been there, done that... Focus is their issue. Wont be the case in the playoffs!)

Nice breakdown. My sense precisely (tp)
