I hope Bibby brings his A game the next three games.

The reason, I want to see Rondo challenged in the playoffs before the matchup with Billups. 


And to me, Bibby looks like the best PG to challenge Rondo (at least better the Cleveland jumpshooting combo Gs)  Let Rondo have to work on both offense and defense.  Let him have to step up now.



I believe if Bibby brings his A game, two things will happen.

1) Rondo will step up, be able to handle it and be better prepared for the Billups matchup

2) Celtics are still to good and will sweep.

His A game is nothing but 20 foot jump shots off the dribble. That's the only consistent weapon he has left. He can't test Rondo, he's not good enough.

Probably true. 

Maybe he can raise his game towards what he used to be. 

I would just like to see Rondo challenged before he has to face a PG like Billups, Parker, Williams, or Paul in the playoffs.  (I think there is almost no chance to face Nash now)

Yeah I doubt Rondo gets 'challenged' from Bibby.  Unless we take a time machine back to 2002 when he was actually good.  He'll get more of a challenge from Cassell and House in practice.

I like your points and agree that while it would be great to walk all over the Hawks, it would be more beneficial to have Rondo be really challenged so he is better prepared for Billups. 

Come on Bibby -- bring that A game!

I just think rondo is too good defensively for Bibby to get it going, and forget Bibby trying to guard him. I'm sure Bibby will put together a couple decent games, but I wouldn't expect him to reach his season averages.

Agree with pretty much everyone else, would be nice for Rondo to get some real playoff pressure, but I don't see Bibby offering it. Bibby's comment about C's fans smacks of a desperate man who has already given up on this series, and if that wasn't proof, maybe his pathetic play in game 1 was.
