Definitely an unexpected 2nd half.

Texas has to hold 'Bama to a FG or less here, though.

The world is now on the freshman QB's shoulders.

Well, I give the Longhorns credit.  They made a game of it but that fumble pretty much ends it.

Great second effort on that run by Ingram.  That should do it.

I think with a healthy Colt McCoy, Texas would have won this one.  I'm glad for the Bama victory, though.

Thanks to everybody.  It was a quick but fun trip.

For all of those that think the outcome would have been different had Marcell Dareus not hit McCoy just right, we'll of course never know.  However, just keep in mind that this is exactly how Texas beat Oklahoma.  Sam Bradford went out in the first series of that game with a shoulder injury.  How might that game have been different?

It's football.  Injuries happen and it's unfortunate.  Greg McElroy was playing with 2 cracked ribs that Alabama hid from the media until after the game so that Texas wouldn't be privy.  Does that mean that I think McCoy could have come back in had his father not gone down to that locker room?  No, but I would have loved for him to pull the Willis Reed and try to get back out there.  I think that perhaps his family's eyes were focused too far ahead towards his professional future instead of his shot at a National Championship with Texas.  That's just an opinion.

If ifs and buts...

Roll Tide!

Now let's got get an 18th for the C's.
