The #Patriots and TE Hunter Henry have agreed to terms on a 3-year deal worth $27M base worth a max value of $30M, per me and @MikeGarafolo.

That helps answer the tight end question. Now the team needs to sign or draft a back up.

I think that's going to be Pharoh Brown, who was with AVP in Cleveland, and then draft someone.

Good resigning for Pats.  Will still have over $70M in cap room.  Focus should be on Onwenu now.

I like the move of bringing Henry back. I don't much about Okorafor, but any attempt to beef up the O-line is good.

I like the priorities.  A huge 27 year old tackle, who has been steady and reliable, and a decent, solid TE.  Great way to start building back the depth.  It is just a start though, especially for the OL.  Maybe 1 more solid vet and then some rookies to fortify the OL.

Depth is good, but that's all that Okorafor is likely to be.  Tackles don't generally sign early, for short-term and small money, if they're seen as capable starters.

Okorafor is a nice rotational RT and someone with legit experience and is solid. Not "spectacular" but that's most rotational tackles around the league. I like it. It's certainly way better than having the likes of Reiff, Vedarian Lowe, etc. If they can keep Onwenu + draft a LT in the 1st or 2nd round I'll be happy.

Contrary to popular belief I don't think our O-Line needs to be entirely rebuilt. Of course you need to address the two tackle positions which is big, but the interior is fine and I thought when healthy our O-Line actually did really well in the 2nd half of the year. But it doesn't help when the WRs can't separate and the QBs are a puddle too. Run game got going later in the season. What sucked though was the first 6-7 weeks of the season, our O-Line was decimated with injuries and we started 1-5 with the likes of Vedarian Lowe starting. Puke.

Wouldn't only $9M count against this year's cap? If that's the case, wouldn’t the team have just over $90M?

I completely forgot about Okorafor.

Apparently, Wheatley signed too but that cap hit is fairly minimal.  Salary is under 1M.

Assuming the Pats draft QB and OT during Rounds 1-2 in whatever order, there is absolutely no excuse for them not to splurge on a WR like Ridley and/or an elite RB like Henry/Barkley/Jacobs. They have well over 75M in cap space. Mayo and Wolf have said they want their team to get explosive, so go out and actually get some talent. You can also open up some cap room by extending current guys such as Barmore.

There's no excuse in my mind not to come away with at least 1 legit weapon to pair with Demario Douglas + Hunter Henry, and to actually have a functional O-Line. Not the likes of Anderson/Reiff/Lowe. Go get actual tackles (or fill one spot by simply extending Onwenu)

Also, I know their value is low but I would still try to dump Parker or JuJu somewhere similar to what they did with Jonnu Smith last season. Bring back Bourne as a #3 receiver. A lot of things get easier when you have the QB, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't supplement the roster either. Stroud had an awesome rookie year for example but lets not act like the Texans didn't have pieces around him to help either.

Patriots miss out on another WR with Jeudy going to the Browns for a 5th and 6th rounder. Shocking…
Looks like it’s going to be another quiet off-season.
