The transition defense is the most alarming part for me.
This...but I think the Heat will make a lot of teams appear to have horrid transition defense this year.

Clearly they figured out that an uptempo game with lots of shots and transition hoops is their style and I can't say I disagree.

I haven't seen a running game this effective since Showtime Magic and the Lakers.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
that play illustrates what we can't do or defend.

Ths is classic doc rivers..hiding under the bench saying.."fix it kg"   i got no ideas....ever wonder if young guys could cover wade or lebron...well, of course they could get there quicker, jump faster, learn and recover faster..this is what i hate about doc....he can draw up a play...but he will never play or try anything new.....sign new people....why....just pay 7 guys...that is all doc will play anyway....!

I wonder if when we're drafting his son this summer if he'll sit the bench next year as well...

wow...KG and jermaine look finished out there...rust or whatever...they look bad...long season ahead in a short time frame concerns me...esp with guys that weren't looked at as being injury cases (wilcox, pietrus) out hurt

forget their miscues on offense. They can't even protect the rim. Kendrick Perkins was a lot more important than we though

Would it be possible to develop 2 game threads:
1 for those who are excited to be watching the C's and who can accept a tough night without calling for a blow-up or declaring the season over.

The other thread can be for those who have already given up on the season and just like to state and restate their  negative predictions. You may be correct, but I am already tired of hearing it.

This idea was floated by PLamb/Nick...but was shot down. I'm with you though..2 GTs would be nice.

I'm still all about the "hide" option on people's posts in specific threads. Then I could basically post stuff and agree with myself.

i like this idea.  the ignore/hide button.  two seperate threads seems a little extreme

Someone in Miami just came at the thought of Moore defending Wade.

Dwyane Wade has been on another planet this game on both ends.

Sad that Rondo has such a slow team.

I'm not sure if I exactly know the definition of illegal defense but it seems the Heat are close to it a lot.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

sadly the Showtime analogy is pretty much on the mark.  Miami has definitely gotten all their players on the same page offensively and they're looking pretty respectable on D too

fools gold. miami could beat boston by 30 if they wanted to. don't care if it is just game 2 or who isn't playing...the effort, heart or will just isn't there. the defense is just bad...on everyone...
