Time to make some headway in the east.....76ers are playing the Rockets tonight. If they lose and we win, we will have the same Loss record and possible can move to #4.

Just have to keep solid level of play up. Lets get revenge for the embarrassing blowout.

Will Smart be suspended?

That's the question.
Any update, anyone?  8 hours 'till tipoff...you would think the league would let teams know well in advance if a player is being suspended...

Per Adam Himmelsbach:

Aron Baynes returned three games ago after missing a month. The Celtics haven’t lost since, and they have a +30.8 net rating with him on the court and a -4.3 with him on the bench.

Good to have him tonight. Miami killednusnon the interior last time

No suspension for Marcus.   Just a 35000 fine.  Whew!  That's a relief.

Now Stevens just has to start him. Especially against Whiteside, who is a good match-up for Baynes. Hopefully Williams will get some good amount of minutes as well. He deserves it after being +15 in a 16-point-loss in Miami.

That's great news!

Who's he going to attack this time? Dwyane Wade?

My guess is that Bembry said something really out of bounds.  I'm thinking it may have been about Smart's mom because that is still very raw for him and is about the only thing I can think of that would get him that wound up.  Also they may have taken the fact that the rookie ref gave him a second tech for basically nothing when a veteran wouldn't have  and would have made him earn that second tech.    Regardless,  I'm glad he didn't get a suspension.

That’s... really surprising.

Not sure what Bembry said, but it must have been bad enough that the NBA saw some justification for Smart blowing his top.  That’s all I can figure.

I’ll take it though.  It’ll be good to see him back out there tonight.

We need to atone for the loss to this bad team last week when the aged "All-Star?" torched us. Not only did he torch us but he was successfully going at Hayward with little response. Time for you Gordon to step up and make him your *****! Avery Bradley could handle him. Time for you my man.

Not a bad time to transition Baynes back into the starting line-up with Morris struggling. I'd prefer to start Brown (or Hayward) with Baynes, but Smart hasn't been total garbage this year on offense - so maybe it would work.

I can't see it. We can't treat a "punk" all-time enemy that good. Unless our fans are drunk with love after the Patriots win.
