I'll say it again, we had a subpar offensive night and an epic defensive night.

Imagine if we had our normal offensive output, this game might be somewhere around 100-50  8)

TP. This team has been absolutely superb defensively the first two nights. You can win a lot of games - big and otherwise - playing defense like this.

sheldon is here to steal minutes and do the garbage work...boston will be extremely deep with sheed, scal, williams and baby off the bench.

Ray Allen is STILL in the game?!

My thoughts exactly, it's not necessary!

Unless no more morning shoot arounds and the extra sleep really has transformed Ray into a 25 year old.

Yeah and he played 42 last night. At least he's finally out now.

Ray Allen has played way too much the last two games.  Way too much.
We're really going to start complaining about long minutes after 2 games????

It's like sprinting out of the gates in a marathon. Just a dumb thing to do if you don't need to.
Marathoners sprint out of the gate then pace themselves. Heck the C's haven't even finished the first third of a mile yet.

If Ray's tired he'll let the boss know. 40 minutes per for the first two games when their defacto 3, Scal, is unavailable is okay by me. No big deal.

I think Williams is the BBD replacement we have been looking for.

Disagree. Williams has no offensive game.

And once Scal is back I expect him to be the 4th big, not Williams.

I hope not. I like that Sheldon works the boards. We don't need Scal and Sheed out beyond the 3 point line.

Agreed. I've been happy with what Williams brings to the floor inside. He's earning minutes, not losing them.

Come on, nick.  You're generally a straight shooter:  are you thrilled with the minutes Ray has gotten?  Would you have done anything differently?
Ray's fine.
38 isn't 48.
As long as we don't see this happen all season.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

AIRBALL. JR. Followed by a foul out of frustration. He's pitiful.

My fear is that JR is just TA with elite rebounding abilities for a guard. I hate seeing him fly through the air trying to block jump shots.

JR's problems personified right their. Horrible shot because he's all jacked up and jumping around, then goes for a circus block and plows right through his man.

He just doesn't look under control when he gets into a game, he's always overcompensating, and it gets him in trouble.

Giddens is just all over the place.  I'm surprised he isn't called for travel a lot more, he shuffles his feet before putting the ball down quite a bit.

Lester looks good.  Seems to be in control, and really seems to put in an effort on hounding his man on defense.

Graham just went by JR like he wasn't there.
