Big Baby is a 5, and then it jumps all the way to Jordan @ 10??? There's not much room for rating between 5-10....I suggest Big Baby being something like a 3, so you can have a more leveled scale for rating players

well i don't know about you but i personally think big baby is a better player than scaly, so if i put big baby at a 3 most people would go with a 1 or 2..... i believe alot of players fit between 5 and 10 (  Pierce KG Ray ALlen Rondo Perk) posey is prob around a 6 powe a 5 big baby a 5 cassell a 5 house a 5 tony allen a 4 ... i think this scale is fine.. but thanks for the feedback anyways haha

hmmm...what's the stats term for "throwing out a percentage of the top and bottom" of the data?  Those 4 Jordan-esque votes may be skewing the data a touch ;)
Yup

yes they may be skewing the data a touch haha.... but if i get 100 data points and there is only 4 or 5 outlier i don't think it will become a big deal... i don't know i'm not an expert this is my first year learning haha

  • The good ole days.
For what it's worth, Scal's PER was 423rd out of 451 in the regular season, putting him in the lowest possible decile.

Ahh, but you have 4 in your first 27. At that rate, you'll have about 15% perfect scores and that is statistically significant :)

Therefore we can conclude that if Scals played significant minutes for 82 games in a season he'd be Air Jordan for 16 of the games, and Air Intangibles for the rest.  It'd be worth watching Scals completely suck for 66 games, just to see him go off for 37 points a night, dunking on everyone, for the other 16.
Yup

Question: What are you actually trying to show with your project here?  I did vote and hope you do well, just wondering what your project is.
