Well, for several years now, draft day trades are processed almost instantly. It is the uniqueness of the situation, and allows for much more trading on draft day. It also gets people to attend the draft. That's my point!

Looks like a fair deal to me, well done fellas

I thought we couldn't trade 2017 picks until the 2016 draft (or after the draft?)

That's true in the H2H league... here the practice was changed 1-2 years ago to whenever the commish reopened trading.

Ahh, got it. Could I trade my 2020 pick, for example? Is there a limit?

I know I'm taking a big gamble trading a sure fire top 3 pick in a projected deeper draft for the #5 pick in this draft, but there are two players I'm sure all be there at #5 and I am willing to gamble on one of them. Jeff Green for Chandler is a toss up in my opinion. Chandler could recover and have a great year, but Green could also be used well in Orlando and put up comparable stats.
Quite interested to see what player you have in mind. Mind sharing? :DI thought we couldn't trade 2017 picks until the 2016 draft (or after the draft?)

The limit is you can trade picks only up to 1 year in advance.

Wait, wait..... no one told me fealty would be involved in this league.
In related news... does anyone know what fealty means? Asking for a friend.

Pittsburgh trades Malik Beasley, Damian James, Cristiano Felicio, 2017 Pitts #1, 2017 Pitts #2,
Gainesville trades Pau Gasol, Monta Ellis
I think I would probably vote to veto. I doubt 6 other GMs would vote to veto this, but wow
I have a difference of opinion

Why would you veto I don't think it's a bad trade and Paul gasol has maybe two good years left and monta Ellis isn't that good anymore (to streaky) Gainesville got younger and hot a first rounder in next years deeper than deep draft

Well it totally survived the 24 hour review period and the very informal voice vote is 4-1...so...as Belichick would say...we're moving on to cutdown date....now updated in the spreadsheet

For various reasons I think this would be a potentially very bad idea going forward. I think (casual) GMs have a reasonable expectation that when a guy is cut he's cut and they can make plans on that and come back a few days later and work with that.Well it totally survived the 24 hour review period and the very informal voice vote is 4-1...so...as Belichick would say...we're moving on to cutdown date....now updated in the spreadsheet

If allowed, I would like to keep James Young considering I will be at 14 with waiving Cole, but if not I understand.

Also keeping track of this league is tough enough. If I have to keep track of 20 GMs cutting and uncutting......that could be a nightmare.

Thoughts?
If it makes you feel any better...you have 15 players...because you have Dario Saric right? Looks interesting.
