Hey guys... Just joined. I live in Alabama and have been a Celtics fan for over thirty years. I've never been to Boston, nor have I had the pleasure of seeing the Celtics in person. My  wife and I lead very busy lives with two careers and three children but we recently just decided to drop it for a few days, and come to the Garden for a game. Flying up the first week of April for the Pistons game. Can't wait!

Just wanted share the excitement (Not many Celtics fans around here) and see if anyone had any suggestions for our trip? Already have tickets (Courtside... not cheap... but if your going to do it, then do it, right?). We will be in town 3 days... Feedback welcome!

I would suggest one of the duck boat toars.

Buy your tickets ahead of time because sometimes the wait can be long.  The tickets might seem expensive, but I think worth it.  This is of course fun for the kids, but also fun for adults.  You see a surprising amount of Boston in a short period of time, including from some very cool vantage points (ie: the Charles River).
Celtics fan for life.

I hope "Bryant" is simply your last name.

Go do yourself a favor and order a Super Burrito @ Ana's Taqueria.

Just me, my wife, and another couple... no kids. We have many interests really... We are going to try to take the Fenway tour one of the days and would like to get down to the harbor as well...

If you want to go to a sports bar, I like The Fours.  It's right across from the Garden.

If you're looking for a nice -- if pricey -- meal, I recommend Top of the Hub.  The food is excellent and the view is excellent on a clear night.  It's very romantic, if you want to impress your wife.

Is The Fours a crowded place? Sounds like a good place to spend a few hours before the game...

I'd suggest going to Faneuil Hall...it's a pretty touristy area, but lots of shops and restaurants/bars around. It's also close to the North End and the Harbor if you want to walk around the area.

Just get there ahead of time, and you'll be fine.  For instance, my wife and I got there around 5:00 on opening night, and were able to get a table.  By 5:45, though, the place was mobbed.

I think he was hoping you weren't a Kobe fan!

DO NOT GO TO ANA'S BEFORE THE GAME... if you know what I mean. Unless you want about 3 very squirmy uncomfortable hours. I would go the next day...

I didn't see who suggested it, but I'd go to the Fours. It'll be busy but it'll give you a true Boston experience, and great food.

Yea I enjoy the Fours before a game, just make sure to get there early for a table.
