For anyone looking for a different take on the western, check out Lonely are the Brave.  It's about a cowboy in the 1940s and how he deals with a society that has changed around him.  Pretty awesome stuff.

...  voted for "Magnificent 7" but that's REALLY a vote for "Seven Samurai", which I would consider to fit all the criteria to be considered a "Western" except setting.
