Which is why today has some significance - despite the sterotypical second half collapse that we've all grown to know and hate.

At least we avoided the complete collapse. That's a start.

The last part of the regular season will determine if Ainge has the 21st or the 26th pick. That's interesting because he got good talent with much lower picks (Powe, Bill Walker, Ryan Gomes. I think even Rondo and Perkins were mid-20's picks). So I guess he could get a young, talented guy to save Pierce, KG or Ray's legs.

As for Doc destroying every lower-pick confidence, I agree. But a early-to-mid-20's pick must earn more "respect" from a coach than a 30 (Giddens) or a 47 (Walker)... Right?
