If you are Indiana, you would like to have a bigger lead given how much you have outplayed Milwaukee. Only a 14pt game.

Indy failing to put their opponent away while they are struggling.

Update: Make that a 9pt game.

Haliburton has 10 assists in only 17 minutes of playing time. Indiana has 20 assists on 24 baskets. Crazy. That is like 83-84% assist rate on their made baskets.

Their offense has gone off the boil the last few minutes though.

Nesmith has become a really good player. I am always surprised that is the same guy that was here. Fair dues to him for all that work leading to improvement that he has done.

Haliburton putback slam!

2nd big time dunk today for Haliburton. First one was on a PnR where Milwaukee didn't show enough after Haliburton killed them on the pass on the previous few plays so Hali just rolled right down the lane and threw it down hard.

Middleton was carry Milwaukee for a long period there when they had nothing else going. He has 19pts on 7-14 FGA 4-4 FTA along with 5reb.

Since then, however, other Bucks players have stepped up. They now have a Big Four type attack. Middleton with 19, Beverley with 11, Brook with 10, Lillard with 9 and 4 assists. Together the Four main guns have 49 of MIL's 55 points. A little bit similar to the Nuggets last night.

Indy have more of a spread offense. M Turner with 16pts, Toppin with 14pts. Everyone else (6 guys) with 5-8pts apiece. Siakam and Haliburton with only 6pts and 8pts respectively. On one hand good, lot of guys contributing. On the other hand, no hot hand to ride. Turner and Toppin don't create much of their own offense. The guys that do aren't really going yet.

Strange game. Neither team has control. Indy did early but they let MIL hang around and work their way back in the game. MIL outscored Indy by 5 in Q2 and 5 again in Q3. Indy's lead is now down to 7pts. They don't have a hot-hand to play through. Milwaukee do. Milwaukee have some more momentum.

Indy are ahead but they are on shaky ground here. They need to get going.

5pt game

I would be nervous right now if I were Indiana. They have not played well with McConnell tonight or in Gm 2. I do not trust him running the team right now. The game is going away from them.

And McConnell makes a baseline midranger ...

Haliburton is +15 in what is now a 2pt game. He has played 30 of the 38 minutes so they are a -13 in the 8 minutes that Haliburton has been on the bench for.

Haliburton passes up a step back 3 because he is 0-5 from downtown. Forces it to a covered Nesmith who is 2-10 FGA to force one against the clock. He kicks it to someone else who catch and shoot a contested long J. Clank!

Panic. Panic. Panic.

Oh, what a pass!

Haliburton with two great passes. The long pass ahead to Siakam which got them 2 FTs. Then that driving dish. The hang time in the air, faking out the defenders, laying it off at the last moment for a layup. Beautiful.
