Here's an idea:

Boston receives: Bertans, Covington
Minny receives: Smart, Bucks 1st
Wizards receive: Poirier,, young player (preferably Edwards, but probably Langford)

Too early to give up on Langford .we have other assets.

I do it in a second but doubt Washington would...Covington for Smart works straight up 😁

I like the idea of having a guy who knows his role as a shooter and defender. I also like him better against players like Giannis, Horford, Butler, Siakim, etc.

After seeing JB light him up a couple of years ago I don’t know if he can hold his own against those guys. Especially not Giannis nor Siakam

It's definitely a matchup thing, but you could throw Covington, Hayward, Brown, and Tatum at them in waves withotu worrying about matchups.

Plus he knows his role on offense.

All true. I think he’d be helpful for the quicker guards that often light us up. Plus, he can shoot.

How to get him though...

I'm kinda' over Smart, and like I proposed earlier, I think the Wolves would take Smart as a primary guard or secondary ball-handler.

Celts can get more for Smart than just Covington.

Help me understand how you value them. Use whatever method you think is helpful. Is Covington 80% of Smart in your mind? Is Covington a nickel and Smart is a dime?

I think they are pretty even value. Covington is on par with Smart defensively. Their disruptive stats and versatility are similar. So is their advanced stats.

Covington is a better shooter than Smart and takes better shots within the offense than Smart. Smart is a ball shot-creator and passer than Covington.

In my mind, they even out. I think Covington would be a better fit.
