i expect a lot of disagreement on this, but if danny packaged avery bradley and the 22nd pick how high a pick could he land?

personally, i think at most he could land the #6. the reason for this is because i think avery could land a 7 - 12 pick (but no higher) just by himself.

what do you think?

Need a top 7 pick to make it worthwhile for the Celtics.

I can't see any of them making that trade though. So no deal to be made here.

I love Bradley and would be shocked and disappointed if Danny doesn't keep him. I love what he brings to the table and feel his future is bright with Celtics as a starting shooting guard, but the truth is that he isn't that highly regarded outside Boston.

I am afraid he can't land a pick higher than #15. I wouldn't trade him for anything outside top 10, but let's be honest, he is undersized shooting guard with average handle coming off surgeries on both shoulders.

yea anything higher it's like youre hoping to land someone better but would be good even with getting someone like Bradley doesn't make sense really

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I think that could get us 7 maybe 6.

I'd rather keep Bradley though.

Every seller needs a buyer. What teams in the early 1st round would be interested in Bradley and have sufficient cap room/trade exception to trade a pick for him?

Beyond speaking in pure hypotheticals, I don't know if there's a team out there that would trade a pick in the 6-12 range for Bradley and a later pick.

Top2 at best, top5 at worst

This draft is very light up top. Avery easily would be top3 pick.

Davis
Thomas
Beal
Barnes
MKG
Rivers

those would probably be the only guys I would take ahead of Bradley, but doubt NBA teams see it the same way

If it's not top 5, then NO

Bradley has proven himself to be a NBA defender and starting to prove himself as a decent scorer as well.

I don't want to see Bradley gone for anything outside the lottery

Most teams in this league value offense over defense.. so no I highly doubt we would crack the top 5. Of the teams in the first round tho, it seems like 7 with the warriors is up for grabs if they get a SF in return (same for toronto) both not options for us to trade Avery to.. Detroit wants Henson at 9.. that brings you to New Orleans at 10 which is the first realistic trade partner for us and that isn't quite worth it really... the top 5 on the board.. all of whom we would want are without a doubt better (davis, Trob, barnes, mkg, beal) but will be long gone.

Lets take Ross, Sullinger, or either of the Jone's, one of them will have to be sliding to us and hope for some luck/potential with them to pan out and look like geniuses afterwards.
Avery is not the player teams are looking for this year and he still has All-defensive team potential at the age of 21 lol.. he's a keeper

You can't answer this question without taking into consideration that Bradley came out early and has since improved upon his skills since doing so. He would be a Junior this year so you would probably put him by himself around the top 10, if he declared this year. If you package Bradley and the 21st, I don't know if you get to #5 because of his shoulder issues but I think that's a package that a team like Golden State bites on.

However, if you don't have Ray in tow...why trade Bradley?

Austin Rivers > Avery Bradley. No way he goes top three in this draft.

I know this wouldn't happen, but Davis and Bradley would be a really cool pairing. If the Hornets traded for Bradley and 21/22 and drafted Jeff Taylor, I'd have a defense-gasm.
