So I'll admit that my motives are a little split here.

While I think it's a great thread, I also desperately need some updates on my ipod.

Here's some CD's I thought were fantastic:

Beck - Guero
Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
Girl Talk - Feed The Animals, Night Ripper
Kanye West - College Dropout
My Morning Jacket - Z, Evil Urges, It Still Moves
Nas - (N Word) tape
Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
Raconteurs - Songs for the Deaf
Ryan Adams - Gold, Heartbreaker, Rock N Roll
U2 - No Line on the Horizon
Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan, White Blood Cells
Wilco - Sky Blue Sky, Yankee Hotel Fox Trot

What are your favorite, fairly modern CD's?

I like your taste in music.  I am going to have to put some thought into this -- nothing is immediately shooting to the front of my mind.
sometimes you have to bite your lip, exhale and move on.  So, I have.

American Idiot has to be the most forgotten great album. I really loved it, probably listened to it a dozen or so times in the span of a few months and then probably haven't thought about it since. TP!
