Way to go KP...

NBA Communications
@NBAPR
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving and Boston Celtics forward-center Kristaps Porziņģis have been named the NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for Week 24 of the 2023-24 season (April 1-7).

I saw somewhere (and have not confirmed) that the Celtics are the first team in NBA history to have 4 players win a player of the week award in a single season.
1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1981, 1984, 1986, 2008

C's have already announced their Top-6 guys (including Horford) are OUT tomorrow.

So we enter the playoffs fully healthy (*phew*)

See you all next Sunday for Game 1  :)

Did anybody know about this? I think I would have camped overnight.

Yeah I did. It was common knowledge all those guys would be there too. Some did wonder if they would also stop by TD Garden for both Bruins and Celtics games over the weekend but idk if they did that

Paul Pierce on Jayson Tatum: 'Best American-born player today'

Boston Celtics icon Paul Pierce has declared that Jayson Tatum holds the title of the best American-born player currently in the NBA. Speaking on the “Ticket and The Truth” podcast, Pierce expressed his confidence in Tatum’s ability, stating that he believes Tatum will ultimately become the face of the league. “I truly believe [Tatum] will be the face of the league. Best American born player today,” he said, via NBACentral on X. – via TalkBasket

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Paul is a homer and I love him.

For American-born players, Tatum is still not better than LeBron.

Hmm, best current American born player. Tatum certainly has a case. the Ringer top 100 has him 7th, 5 of the guys ahead of his are all foreign born including SGA who is Canadian.

Kawhi is 6th, Steph is 8th, Durant 9th, AD 10th, Booker 11th and Lebron 12th. I think he's in roughly the same tier as that group of guys, certainly the one with the biggest runway given his age.
