Ok, I'm officially depressed. What is Ainge doing?

Hey! At least our highest paid player is now Amir Johnson!
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Jerebko might be going out soon in a trade. That's a solid amount to throw in as part of a package to make salaries match.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

i don't think you can attach him with other contracts in a s+t , only draft picks.

I could be wrong though.....

2 years, 24 million for Amir Johnson.  Ridiculous and quite frankly unbelievable.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

No I think it's great. Waste our cap space on mediocre players that fill no needs. Ainge deserves to lose his Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing job for the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. he did this offseason.

I have a feeling this means Crowder isn't coming back.

Take a look around the league and see why we need to spend a lot of money when we aren't going to contend for a championship. Would like to see Young get some burn here and see what we have. Figure out if we can get Harris for real as that may depend on Millsap and if they think Harris would be a good fit next to him. If not would Harris be better than keeping Bradley here next to Young or Harris next to Young.

Deals w/Amir Johnson and Jerebko have non-guaranteed 2nd years. Full story on Celtics' FA pursuits just posted. http://bit.ly/1FScuee

Wasn't a fan, but with this, it makes this a much better deal. Those are powerful trade tools.

I wish we'd rebuild through the draft.

Amir Johnson is very underrated, from what I've seen he is a greg monroe type with better defense. that contract looks big now but will look much better next year than paying the max for monroe. He will be a nice compliment to sully/olynyk.

The Jerebko contract seems too much, he is at best the 8th or 9th guy, id rather see that money go towards a corey brewer or help resign crowder.

this just went from very bad to good. way better to have 1 year stop gaps then bringing in the wrong player on a max contract.
