Danny primary goals at this point will be to try and move up in draft to net one of the higher end talents (Barrett, Morant, Culver, White)

Barring that he will chose NAW at 14,

He will try and Sign and Trade to the nets Kyrie and pick 22 for TPE, Cannot see any reason why Nets would not do that, as they get a pick for free. Still hoping for a Kyrie for Dinwiddie trade, will see about that.

Then Danny has a large TPE to go after filler players or sign and trade targets from other teams for future assets. So look for the 20th pick plus the TPE for a player like Vucevic.

MLE will be used on depth as needed

Smart/NAW/Wannamaker
Brown/LLE - Carter/Gibson
Tatum/MLE/Semi
Horford/Morris/Yabu
Vooch/Baynes/Williams

Super important but not super likely to get us more than a role player, if that.  The 14th pick is far from premium.  Maybe we strike gold but have to be lucky.  No other pick, except the grizzlies pick is even worth thinking about.  We obviously need lots of luck there too.
how many players in the NBA finals this year were picked above pick 10?

Kawhi Leonard and Lowry say's "whats up" from pick 15 and 24
And I’m sure we’ll get that lucky.

Love the confidence, but im nearly sure that a player or a pick needs to be included in every trade. Nets can't trade a TPE.

Defeatist attitude.  Sharpen pencils and look for the gems at 14, 20 and 22. They're out there.

hard to tell what you mean by "above", but for Toronto:

Lowry was 24, Leonard 15, Siakham 27, Gasol 48, Ibaka 24, Danny Green 46 and Van Vleet undrafted.

GSW:

Klay 11, Green 34, Looney 30

Only guys to make material impacts on the finals drafted in the top 10 were Steph, Iggy and Cousins.

The bottom line is you are correct. It's really hard to build a champion. It's hard to find stars even when you ARE in the top 10.

Draft Tacko Fall.

He could be very useful in half-court defense.

I just want us to find a gem like Siakam.

What the Heck was Danny boy thinking in drafting the kid with the ass of the Kardashian anyway?.

Move up and get Coby White. Unrepentant 3pt gunner who is 6'5 and plays faster than everyone else. Was able to run one of the most difficult systems in college bball as an 18/19 year old. Yeah he is a bit careless with the ball, but man the upside is there. I'm done with small guards. Plus personality wise seems likely to fall into line behind Tatum and Brown

Let's be honest... our draft picks this year are likely trash.  My expectations for #14 are somewhere on a scale of James young to Kelly Olynyk.  My expectations for 20 and 22 are somewhere on a scale of RJ Hunter to Jordan Mickey.  Sure, there's exceptions and occasional diamonds in the rough (Al Jefferson at #15, Rondo at #21), but we'll be lucky to get 1 rotation player out of these scratch tickets.

If they accept a deal for Kyrie in a sign and trade, a TPE would be created for us at the value of said salary.
