Greivis Vazquez (who???) killed us tonight

he's averaging 14/4.5/9 this year,

sort of says it all about these game threads.

Courtney Lee, sit!!!

Lee and Bass just HAVE to be used as trade bait
Yeah they suck.  But you better expect players that suck in return.

I think this game went down hill once Sully got quick fouls in the first half. It seemed to really mess with him this time and he had to sit down pretty quickly.

One thing that has been huge during our win streak was our rebounding esp on the offensive side. We needed that tonight.

Maybe Doc should actually consider playing Barbosa when our offense is stagnant??

I have been thoroughly impressed by Vasquez who is having a career year, and the young small forward Aminu outplaying Paul Pierce. I bet Grizzlies are kicking themselves trading Vasquez after his rookie season.

Anyone else hates Celtics offense at end of games? It consists screening for either Pierce or Garnett shooting away long jumpers. Difficult shot, after difficult shot. Why aren't they attacking the basket? Where are the post ups?

Barbosa actually attacks the basket unlike our other players today.

How did our offense attack the last few games but tonight suffer from amnesia? Shooting brick after brick after brick is not just stupid it is insane. i mean it is not like we have no dribble drivers. where was green? barbosa? SMH

doc should have stopped that bad shooting and style in its tracks, but he did not.

Comes down to the same old problem . . . too small to deal with these bigger, younger, quicker teams.

Outrebounded 48-33.

The Celtics have long suffered from a deliberate, predictable end of game offense.

They still succeed using it at times because they still have plays / players who just find ways to score even when the opponent clamps down.  But it works much less frequently than it did in '08.

no ball movement either. just ball hogging. maybe pass to a moving man who is open by the basket? wow. what a novel concept?
