Picked up Cage the Elephants second disc when it dropped on Tuesday. I am a huge fan so far. They played on Letterman Wednesday night and blew me away. Anyone else listen to these guys? I really wasn't a fan of the two singles off their first CD, but Shake Me Down sounds like an instant rock classic. They've got a crazy blend of early 90's grunge, rock, and alternative sound without having a mainstream rock sound that has become so terrible today. Its nice to hear some really good music on the radio today. Give em a listen.

I'm not really a fan but will listen on the radio if they're on. I think last week they had an in-store performance at Newbury Comics (Newbury Street maybe). Did you go?

*edit*
It's today at the Newbury Street store, 6 PM!  :P

"Shake Me Down" is a heckuva jam. Love it.  Threw it on the Ipod a few weeks back.

"Ain't no rest for the Wicked" from the first album is a great tune too.
