I don’t want him gone!

I think Danny is great!

But with his ticker being what it is, he can’t go on forever, so who’s gonna replace him in 2 years, or 4 years, or whenever he steps down?

BTW, I got nothing, but it’s off season and it might be more relevant than who will replace Kemba. Will there be Nepotism?

Zarren

And also Danny’s son staying in the mix.  Danny likes to keep his circle small.

Any chance they start grooming a former player that loves the Celtic traditions, like let’s say, Perk?

He was a role player that got shipped out after a championship like Ainge did, but still loves the Celtics and seems interested in staying involved with basketball? If he worked with the big men a bit and was mentored by Ainge for a couple of seasons before Danny decided to step down, would that be enough, or would you rather poach someone off another team’s staff?

Stress can come from working too hard.  It can also come from not working, retiring too early.  I think Danny knows his mind and body and will make the right decision at the right time....

I've always wanted to see Larry Legend running the C's front office.  Chances are that this ship has sailed, but one never knows. I mean, Magic was the GM of the Lakers up until last April. Not to menton, Jerry West retired from GM'ing at age 69 and he's still around even to this day at age 81. At the very least, I'm hoping Larry will come back one day in an advisory role. Just to have him around the team from time to time, would help both the players and the front office.

Btw, Larry Bird is the only man in NBA history to have won the NBA MVP, Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year. What a legend this man is!

There's a reason Zarren hasn't gone after other GM positions.  He's the heir apparent to Ainge
I'm bitter.

The question was who will replace him, not who is Danny.
