From the scouting report above “His biggest problem right now for sure is pick-n-roll defense and his lateral quickness. He is not able to chase his man down on the low block if he gets passed by him.”

If he had this problem in Europe...

PnD by Centers in the nba

Who is elite?

Is Jokic? Is Embiid?

As long as the center is passable... good enough

I guess it depends what they mean when they say his PNR defense is bad. Very few centers can switch as seamlessly as Horford did, but some play pretty well in drop coverage, which the Cs can do more of.

Don’t know too much about Jokic, but I know that in the playoffs Gobert has really had problems.

Just watched highlights. I’m glad the guy is a rim runner off the P&R. We could use some inside threats! I hope CBS can adapt to his bigs’ strengths. We have Kanter, Poirier and Timelord who are mainly threats in the paint.

A guy like Kevin Love would be a good fit for the current Celts.

But I don't know if the Celts would want Love's contract.

Love, Kanter, Rob Will, and Poirier would be a solid frontcourt.

KLove is definitely still a good player and even if he’s not a good interior defender, would fit with our team nicely. He’s Horford with worse defense, better rebounding and better O. I don’t know how C’s acquire him though, especially at his salary.

Celts can do a trade for Love in December.

Smart, Brown, and Theis would be the main pieces needed to make the trade work.

Theis cannot he traded until January 15th, FYI.

Thanks!

DA is stockpiling low cost bigs with some potential in the hope he finds at least one who fits and thrives in the system.  Each has his strengths and flaws. If Poirier does not work out the Cs can go "next man up".

We should give these bigs at least 2 months b4 declaring them busts.

This sounds right. And as others have noted, the contracts are a little inflated which could help with salary matching.

Fortunately that won’t happen.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

Maybe you're inflating the assist number, it just says 4 passes, lol.

What's the "23 Evals" stat?  Minutes?  +/-?

Kinda curious now on the translation on what looks to be Free Throws (LF) and Total Field Goals (TIRS).

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I don’t know basketball French, but it says he had 4 “passes décisives”, which sounds like assists. (Not just passes, “decisive” passes.)

Nice. Vincent likes contact, and he can finish with touch after banging. Really interesting to see him stay in front of a wing after switching. I assume the speed in much slower than the NBA, but still interesting.

I want to know the person who tallies passes made, is he the same guy who counts assists? Must be counting forever. The only thing I can think of that's close to doing that is hockey assists and that's already a lot. Lol
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)
