Last 2 games also showed that Stevens is a genious. The record that we have at the moment with this lack of talent is excellent!!

Saric is an excellent player, especially for a rookie. The Celtics really missed out on him.

Fantastic offensive player.

Terrible defensive player.

So like IT? The difference being Saric has legit size and can scrap with anyone on D when he puts his mind to it.

Eh, I don't think Saric will ever be anywhere near as good at offense as Thomas.

Saric's issue on defense is that he is too slow to defend SF's and too weak to defend good PF's.

He lead the Sixers over a win against us today as a rookie with a poor supporting cast. I'd say his future looks pretty darn good.

Yes, he's definitely going to be a good player in the league.

I'd just temper my expectations.  I don't see stardom in his future at any point.  Looks to me like he'll top out as a high level, offense only role player.  A better, more well rounded version of Ryan Anderson.

What's the matter with Jaylen Brown lately? Rookie wall? Not having his teammates' confidence? Not setting plays for him?

Honestly, I understand he is playing less because he's had too many "reckless" mistakes lately. But it's hard to determine which one is the cause and the effect of both.

Brad has shorter leash on Brown especially for defensive lapses.

If we had to split this weekend without IT we did it right.

Way to suck the energy out of my Sunday Celts. Tomorrow is a "must win" against the Wizards.

I've been trying to figure this out, too. The Brooklyn game he was completely uninvolved in the offense. There would be long stretches where he would just be standing in the corner, waiting for the ball and it never came. I don't know if the players need to get him more involved, Brad needs to draw up some plays for him or if Jaylen needs to be more aggressive in getting himself touches, but I think something has to change. Jaylen has skills no one else on this roster has. If he can consistently get to where he was the last few weeks, that helps this team a ton.

Yeah Jaylen should be getting all of Smarts shots. They need to run some plays for him. Today they passed to him once in the post and he missed a turn around and they never went back to it. No-one passes to him when he cuts. He could be an offensive weapon but coach needs to run some actions for him. There are too many plays run for Smart and he's not a good offensive player.

Fantastic offensive player.

Terrible defensive player.

Ehhh, he's limited because of athleticism but he's not a disaster on defense. Smart team defender and good rebounder. Gives good effort on that side too.

Completely agree with this. Some people think you have to be a collection of muscles to defend well, and instincts, will and intelligence are as important as physical tools.

No way Saric is a terrible defender.

He's a tweener. He's too slow to guard 3s but not big enough to cover PFs and Cs down low. Horford abused him today. Saric was a -13 on the night when he was on the floor.

Offensively he was very impressive to me.

He really is, though.

Maybe he'll get a little bit better with experience, but I suspect he'll always be a negative on that side of the court.

Well, I'm glad to have Luwawu and Holmes as part of my rebuild in fantasy.  But, bummer for the Celtics.  Job not well done, fellas.
