With their 5th pick, the Toronto Raptors are going for their 6th man and selecting Spencer Haywood.

The Raptors will select 73 when Haywood was 1st Team All NBA, finished 7th in MVP voting (5th the prior year) and averaged 29.2 ppg, 12.9 rpg, and 2.5 apg.  Excellent foul shooter.  Athletic and strong.  We like his versatility off the bench and think he can play small ball center next to Malone or power forward next to Wallace giving the Raptors a lot of options in the big man rotation.

Plus, you gotta love a guy that sues the NBA for anti-trust violations and wins.

Great pick.

After much deliberation.

The Memphis Grizzlies are going all in on embracing the villain role in this league. This team wants to beat you up and let you hear all about it.

The Grizzlies select...

Ron Artest!
I want no part of a defensive forward tandem of Artest and Kirilenko lol.
I'm hoping to convince all the other GMs to persuade their team similarly ;)
Draymond wants to tangle with them though

Rodman ain't afraid either!  ;D
Rodman, Dray and Artest should form their own team / army ;)

Finally!

Didn't see him fitting next to Kobe, but he literally reolutionised the draft process and lit up the league in the meantime
Yeah I was wondering who would pick him.

With the 6th pick in the 5th round, the Houston Rockets select the engine of some excellent Seattle squads in the late 70s and early 80s with his wizardry on both ends of the court:

Gus Williams

Redd was the other guy I considered with Haywood.  Ultimately I felt Haywood had a bit better peak, but Redd bombing 3's was certainly intriguing for me and I considered him for awhile.

With this pick, I'm going with someone who's more of a complementary player. This guy was a great defender, and he can space the floor from the PF spot. With the 8th pick of the 5th round, the Sacramento Kings select...

I love Millsap & M.Gasol together.

Those two would have great chemistry.
