The Boston Bruins are quietly putting together one of the most dominating regular seasons seen in the NHL in decades. In 37 games they have shut out the opponents 6 times and allowed just 1 goal 7 times. 11 times they have scored 6 or more goals. They league the league in just about every offensive and defensive team statistic you can come up with.

And tonight they won 9-0. After winning the night before 6-1 and after having won their last home game 17-0.

9-0, what is that equivalent to in basketball, baseball or football.

17-0 in two home games. What's that equivalent to in other sports.

Football 60-0 in one game and 112-0 over two games?

Basketball 110-60 in on gmae and 210-130 in two games?

Baseball 20-0 in one game and 37-0 in two?

Just trying to put this into perspective of just how dominant this team is playing if you compare it to other sports that people might be a bit more in tune with.

9-0 is just silly...

150-65 in basketball...the highest score in a season to the lowest

72-0 in NFL football

25-0 in baseball.

I mean it's getting ridiculous. They score, they form a wall on defense in front of the 2 best goalies in the NHL. There are literally no weaknesses on the team right now and no one can figure it out.

Seguin is getting hot again.

They have 3 consistent lines.

They kill penalties and now they even convert on power plays (snuck into the top 10!)

They are young, tough, fast and skilled.

It is incredible and to be honest, I think the Bruins got more attention (at least on sports talk radio) last year when they were struggling in the regular season for stretches.

Imagine if the 07-08 Celtics had the same defense but managed to also lead the league in scoring!

How did they manage to start off the season so poorly?
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

They werent scoring.

Julien had the line personel different than it is now. He was actually tinkering like a mad scientist for those first 10 games and then he found gold.

Frist the 2nd line emerged with Segiun and Marchand scoring and skating and Bergeron playing amazing 2 way hockey.

Then out of nowhere, their 3rd line emerged with former big time hockey prospects coming into their own (Chris Kelley, Pouliot, Peverly).

The chemistry on every line is perfect now and they all bring a different way to put the puck in the net to the table.

Plus I dont think the Bruins were ready to compete every night at the beginning of the year. Defending champs have the bullseye every night and they didnt reciprocate at first. Now they are demoralizing team with their level of competition.
