No, the Knicks aren’t that bad off. The only free agent they signed this summer that is guaranteed next summer is Julius Randle. All their other summer signings either expire (Morris), have a team option (Portis), or a small guarantee (Gibson, Payton, Ellington, and Bullock). They will have no trouble creating max room next summer, and limited trouble creating double max room.
