This is not a good signal for the Lakers and Lebron. If James were going to LA, you figure George would have signed in LA. But his signing back in OKC could indicate Lebron is going elsewhere--likely, in my view, back to the Cavs. The Lakers are desperate at this point for another star to pair with James, and they have turned to Cousins.
James is scheduled to meet with the Sixers today. But the compatibility is questionable because of Simmons, who is really a big PG who needs the ball. Lebron is also a big PG who needs the ball. Leonard would be a better for the Sixers if they can get him while keeping Simmons and Embiid. Also, I wonder if James wants to play in the East opposite the Cavs. Playing games in Cleveland for another team might be trying for him at this stage.
