Funny thing about twins. Markieff is hurt too.

I'm not sold. $15million+ a year for a 30 year old with a questionable knee? Yes, he's playing like he's worth it, but I doubt that knee will hold out for 3-4 years. Let another team take that risk and have him earn that kind of money somewhere else. I wouldn't pay more than $10 million/year for 3 years.

If we trade for AD, I’d consider resigning him because presumably we’ll have dealt Tatum and have a much bigger need for a versatile scoring wing we can’t easily replace, even if he’s 30.

In that scenario, if ownership is bullish on our chances, I’d consider a max of a $45m 3 year deal, where I’d want to pay him $20m in Year 1, $15 in Year 2 (when we hope he can keep up 14-6-1 on 45-40-85) and $10m in Year 3 which he’ll end at 33.

I feel if we get Davis and it costs us Tatum and Smart, we’ll need to replace both a talented wing and a tough glue guy.

I've come to really like Mook Morris, but I really hope the Celts aren't the team that pays him.  He's never going to be better than he's been the past year or so, and I'm concerned about what sort of player he might be after he gets paid.

Somebody will give him $12-15 million a year for 3 years or so, is my bet.

Perhaps $20 million a year on a one or two year partially guaranteed deal.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Not sure but;  KI, JT, JB, GH should be logging about 35min/gm  to be at their most effective.

we need to find some kind of chemistry

If it was 3 years, $36 million, I’d be fine with that, assuming Wyc is willing to cut the checks going forward.

I can't see how Morris is brought back at anything more than MLE type money.  Just not enough minutes or dollars to go around.  He is playing too well right now to trade him, but if he reverts back some, I still think there is a decent chance Morris gets traded at the deadline so Boston gets out of the tax this year.

This. Not expecting him back with BOS next year.

David Locke of the LockedOn podcast speculated that the Morris brothers would sign with the Sixers.  I'd forgotten they were from Philly.  If I recall correctly, they took a bit of a discount to sign together in Phoenix.

Mook would be a good fit there

Tatum
Brown
Irving
Hayward
Smart

Will get money/locked up

The rest get added via picks, cheap FA

Expect this be Morris last season in a Celts uni

he is part of the muscle this club needs to keep the cheap shot players in check ,  keep the kids focused .  Use the harsh language CBS seems to avoid.

He is the type of player that scores AT the other guys gym too and not bother by boos ,fans , ruff talk etc....he just plays harder.

I think you can add Horford and Morris to that group of core Celtics. I fully expect Horford to opt out this year and to re-sign a 4 year $70 million contract(or there about, could be slightly larger or smaller total value). That's the equivalent of him playing next year at $30 million and signing a three year $40 million contract after next season.

That saves a little over $12 million next year which in turn would free up money to sign Morris or Rozier long term while keeping similar salary as if Horford didn't opt out and take the new contract.
