No-one we should want has been signed yet, and I wouldn't have anyone of the people who already signed at their signing price. SMH.

You may be right, but we're only 12 hours into free agency.

I for one am glad that we aren't signing mediocre players to huge contracts.  I think Danny planned this out well.  We don't need role players or end of rotation type of guys this offseason or maybe next offseason as well.  The money is silly right now and it will be again next year when the cap goes up to $107m.  In 2018, the cap falls to $105 and the money should normalize then.  With our depth, young players, and guys joining the team next year after being stashed, we should be able to avoid that.

Hopefully, we're able to sign one of the big guys.  I don't mind paying huge money to Horford or Howard.  It's the Mozgov, Noah, and Batum type of contracts that are going to cripple teams.

I want Drummond, but he's not available.  Idon't want Beal for $120 million or Whiteside for $96 million.

I would take Whiteside for 96! That's a bargain in this current market. He would be our starting center for the next 4 years! If we had him plus IT and Jaylen could develop we would have something good going forward.

Whiteside is 27 years old and was in the D league until a season and a half ago because of work ethic and attitude problems.  I don't want to give a guy like that $100 million.  Nevermind that his defense is overrated and he goes multiple games at a time without an assist.

Batum for $120 million? You surely jest. Jae Crowder is better.
