Reading everyones comments lately I've noticed that most don't have an Avatar that is either readable or have just removed it completely...I think that sucks so I thought I would give a step by step process of how to get a new or old avatar back.

1. Go on Google type a phrase that will give you the avatar you are after then click google search.
2. Click on Images.
3. Select the Image you are after then click 'View Image'.
4. Right click directly on the image an click on 'Save Image' then name the pic and remember where you are saving it.
5. Go to http://resizepic.com
6. Click on 'Choose File' and find and select the pic you saved earlier and select it.
7. Click on 'Width' and select no larger than 75 and do the same for your 'Height' then click 'Resize Image'.
8. Your Avatar should be above your Image Resizer with the new pixel dimensions, right click on the Avatar and select 'Copy Image Address'.
9. Go back to http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?action=profile;area=forumprofile;u=58241 and where it says in the 'Personalized Picture' menu 'Specify avatar by URL' select the option and right click and paste in the Specify your own avatar by URL bar.
10. Then go down to 'Change Profile' and click the button and you're done!

I'm sorry I have just realized that the site wipes the link after a period of time, thus making the process redundant.

I have tried simply uploading the saved image but for some reason the forum rejects it, perhaps there is a internal issue because there is no logical reason for the problem.

TP for showing us how to do this. I've missed the avatars. And if it wipes it away after a while, oh well—I'll just add it again. ;D

After resizing it, save the image again then upload it to photobucket and create an url from there? I bet that would work.

Think this worked, the resizing process made the image super pixilated though.

Edit: Lol nope never mind. I tried uploading through imgur and it did not work.

Hahaaaa great success!

Ok here's what ya gotta do... *Note I did all this on my phone.*

-Follow the good man SBBF's instructions on resizing the image. I set mine to 75 height and 75 width.

-Download/save the resized image to your device

-Go to imgur.com it's safe and reliable. It's Reddit's image hosting site.

-Make a free account and upload your image. *Note on my phone I had to Download and use the app to upload the image.*

-Open the image in a new tab and the url at the top of the screen should read something like this... https://i.imgur.com/MN0GMTy.jpg

-Now here is the trick.... When uploading the image to your forum profile you need to type the URL as "http" not "https" my final address looked like.... http://i.imgur.com/MN0GMTy.jpg

Very nice. Just for the record at step 10, I don't think you have to make an account. At least I was able to upload the pic without having signed in.

If you want to use a site that definitely doesn't require an account, you can use tinypic.com.  Same steps and you can just copy and paste the http address after you upload the image.
