Just following the box score -- what did Deron do??

Got called for an offensive foul with Smart playing good D on him.  Should have been a no call really.  But he said something to the official after the fact and got tossed for it.

why should it have been a no-call, really?

Wow, he must've said something good!

I couldn't tell what he said, but based on the fact that he got tossed after just a few words indicates that he got his money's worth.

On the replay it didn't look like there was a whole lot of contact - Deron might have pushed off slightly with his off arm but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.  Smart embellished the contact and got rewarded for it.

I just rewatched it (regular speed and slow-mo) and the contact is definitely there, but it definitely looks like Smart embellished it. Probably the right call (I mean, he did hit him in the jaw with his shoulder), but I would have been fine with a no call, too

If they had called it a foul on Smart, though, I would have been mad
I'm bitter.

when you suck as bad as the Nets there really isnt much of an excuse for letting him go.

You cant tell me that he was the least promising player on your 9-45 team.

Rewatch in those technical, they were less than 5 seconds apart. I don't know what Deron said, bit it clearly crossed a line
I'm bitter.

Isaiah has 18 points in 17 minutes on 6 shots. And it's not even that surprising anymore.

Exactly. He looks explosive and they need a lead guard.

Twitter indicated that he earned one by flexing at the ref.

Hard to appreciate as it's happening but IT is amazing!

Al has missed a lot of very makeable shots.
