What did you do for your summer vacation?

Ok guys, fess up.  What exciting things did you this summer that would be worth telling the teacher and everyone in class about???

A trip to see Uncle Phil & Aunt Mitzi? or perhaps visiting the backwoods of Nigeria?  Do tell, what trip did you take this summer that worth sharing?

As for me, I had a few interesting business trips, Las Vegas, Denver, NYC, NYC, NYC, NYC, Washington DC, but for pleasure, I went up with 2 other families to the White Mountains and spent a week shuffling between nature and amusements.  The Conway area is a great take for families with younger kids.

Made it to the beach a couple of times.

- Roadtrip down the East Coast to South Carolina with stops in New Jersey, Virginia, and Charlotte NC.

- Multiple trips to my parents' beach house on the Cape

- 4 or 5 Red Sox games

- Prepped for grad school

- Lots of pickup basketball

Worked alot.

Attended the game 5 of NBA Finals in LA.

Vegas trip for few days with friends from home.

Going to NY this weekend if we still count that as summer.

This summer has been one of transition for my family.  We moved to Italy at the beginning of the summer.  It has been a real eye opening experience so far, espesically for my wife as this is her first time out of the country.  So far we have made some trips to some places locally and stretched out to Pisa, Venice, and Switzerland.  Oh, and I worked of course.

Went to Maine twice (grandparents farm), visited tons of friends in New England.

Last week went to Hampton Beach for a few days where I proposed to my girlfriend. Then went home to CT (live in Boston) to visit family and friends, and went to my favorite beach in Rhode Island (Scarborough Beach).

I went to this great parade in Boston on June 19th.  I can't remember what it was for, but man, was it awesome.

Took the family to Disney World in August and had a great time.

Last week went to Hampton Beach for a few days where I proposed to my girlfriend.

I think my girl would murder me if I proposed to her at Hampton Beach.  No ofense, but its not the classiest place on earth - but hey, at least you didn't choose Salisbury Beach!  Congrats man!

I love it up there!  I hope to have a cottage or camp or something up there someday.  One of my fav places in the world.
