every time the Celtics lose you guys blame the refs? So the team takes no responsibility? You would think that they would take advantage of home cooking, but there poor plays got the Mavs back into the game and eventually got them the win. This is why the celts need Garnett more and without him they really struggle.

Nobody blamed the refs for the loss against Dallas, it seemed pretty clear to me that all the members of CB realized it was a lack of energy, defense and hustle that killed the Celtics last night. They got legitimately criticized for their poor second half and terrible 3rd quarter.

There are a few posters (and fans in general) that will always blame the refs (even when the team wins)

But the majority of responses on here have been about what the Celtics are or are not doing on the court.

Where are all these "blame the ref" threads?  I know we see "ref" posts in the game threads, but that's normal as hearing those at a game or watching at a bar or with your buddies.

There have only been a few games where the refs clearly played a role in the game, most noticeably, the Hawks game.  Overall though, I think these last couple of losses has more to do with the team than the refs.

Regardless of what blog posters do, our freakin' players need to stop blaming the refs.

Why not

It's fun

Even if it's never true, it's still fun to blame the refs
